palazzo ducale
palazzo ducale is the old residence of the dogos. the building was rebuilt in the 14th century after a fire. this palace is a symbol of the venetian gothic, with its elegant arcades and light colored stone cladding. there used to be many works of art inside this palace (fabriano, pisanello, bellini and tiziano), unfortunately they were destroyed in 1577. at the three corners of the building you’ll find the famous sculptures: adam and eve, noe and salomon’s trial.
