Rodi Garganico (42 m, 3987 inhab.), at the tip of Lake Varano; at this point the coast, so far low and sandy, starts to become steeper and rocky. Even the village, with its whitewashed
houses and narrow, winding streets, stands on a rocky promontory, immersed in olive groves and citrus fruits. The road runs along the edge of the coast and is flanked to the left by a clear blue sea; to the right is the immense Foresta Umbra. |
