(77m., 5791 inhab.), lying on a high land 1 km. from the sea and surrounded by olive groves.
Although mentioned in a document of 1103, the village is far more recent in origin, dating from 1780.
Until 1955 it was a hamlet of Monte S. Angelo, nearby are the remains of the Roman town.
