Portico d'Ottavia (via del Portico d'Ottavia)
Built by Quinto Cecilio Metello in 146 B.C., this doorway was rebuilt b Augustus in honor of his sister Ottavia in 23 B.C. It had a double column decorated by statues and included various temples dedicated to Giove and to Giunone.
Today, in place of the temples one finds the little church of Sant' Angelo di Pescheria. |
