Marina d'Ugento
(108m.),The village is set on one of the highest points of a limestone ridge and the ancient terradefended by the castle of the marquis and modern expassion to the north-west can both be seen.
The town monuments, nearly all reconstructed after the destruction worked by the Turks in the 16th century, are 18th century in style:the castle of 14th century origin, the palazzo vescovile the cathedral.
